My Favourite Dog Breeds

I am a massive dog lover, so I thought I would do a post on my favourite dog breeds! These will be in no particular order. The two types of dogs that I have owned is a Shetland Sheepdog and a Pomeranian x Corgi.

I love Samoyed’s so much! I have always really liked them, and whenever I see one anywhere I get so excited like a little kid. I just love how they are so big, white and fluffy. I would love to have one of my own, but I’ve heard they are a lot of maintenance due to their coat. One of my co-workers has one and brings him in sometimes. I think it is so great that my work allow dogs, it seems to make everyone in the workplace so much happier and in a better mood.

Don’t get me started on Huskies… I just love their coat and their personality. I love how they always look evil and angry, but are far from it. I feel like they would be a very loving dog once you get to bond. I also feel like they would need lots of exercise, which would encourage anyone to go outside for a walk and some fresh air. Again, I get very excited when I come across a Husky when out and about.

Golden Retriever’s

Golden Retriever

I believe I will be getting a Golden Retriever in the future as it is a type of dog that my boyfriend and I can agree on. We both love them very much, as they are very loving, loyal and friendly dogs. They are also child friendly – despite their size. I love the golden colour of their coat and also the length of it – not too long, not too short. They would also be fantastic dogs to exercise with.

The Queen has good taste. Corgi’s are so adorable and I love their long bodies. Not many dog breeds have long bodies. I love the colour of their coats and they are very cute. I feel like they would be great to relax and have a nap with, and that they would be very loving and cuddly. My boyfriend isn’t a fan or Corgi’s so we won’t be getting one in the future sadly!

Jack Russell’s

I have known many Jack Russell’s, never mine, but always a friend or family members. They are so small and cute, and the colouring on their coat is different for every dog. I feel like they would be easy to look after being so small and having such a short coat. I do know that they can be very cheeky, and destructive at times, which can be a bit challenging – despite this, I would never live without having a dog!

Shetland Sheepdogs

These dogs hold a huge place in my heart. My parents got a dog a few years before I was born, so I grew up having a Shetland Sheepdog. They are so beautiful and majestic. Their coat is amazing and they are very friendly and timid dogs. My one was scared of other dogs, the complete opposite to my current dog. Sadly our Shetland Sheepdog was put down when I was in my first year of high school, as she became very sick. I miss her.

Last but not least, Pomeranian’s. My current dog is a cross breed Pomeranian. We rescued her from the pound when she was 12 months old. I love how small and fluffy these guys are. You could probably fit one in your handbag/backpack! They require lots of love and attention, which I can always give. Depending on their personality, I think they would like cuddling up to you, or sleeping in their bed. They can be so funny and entertaining too.

I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know of your favourite dog breeds below!

    Hello ,

I saw your tweet about animals and thought I will check your website. I like it!

I love pets. I have two beautiful thai cats called Tammy(female) and Yommo(male). Yommo is 1 year older than Tommy. He acts like a bigger brother for her. 🙂
I have even created an Instagram account for them ( ) and probably soon they will have more followers than me (kinda funny).

I have subscribed to your newsletter. 🙂

Keep up the good work on your blog.
