Yes! You read that title right. Chocolate is pretty much one of the best things on the universe, agreed? Well, I think so anyway. I have some sort of chocolate in my house at all times, I have a massive sweet tooth. I wish I didn’t, but that’s just how I was made, to enjoy the sweet things in life.
Now, I can say I know a bit about allergies and intolerance with food. I myself have been on various diets to help with certain symptoms I’ve been having for the past two years, I have recently found out I am highly intolerant to dairy & eggs.
Since the start of the year, I have started seeing a naturopath. If you don’t know what a naturopath is, it is someone that specialises in the works of natural medicine. My naturopath has put me on SO many different vitamins it is ridiculous, I barely remember to take them daily. I have to include as well that seeing one of these specialists is VERY expensive, so if you’re planning on seeing one, prepare yourself for that…
She has helped me massively so far. I still have a lot more recovery to go, but getting there slowly, one day at a time.
I was having a chat with her about my love of chocolate and how I didn’t want to give up eating it. She thankfully gave me a recipe for HEALTHY, VEGAN, GLUTEN FREE CHOCOLATE! I was so excited I just had to share the recipe for you all! It is super easy as well, which makes it SO much better!! Here is the recipe –
- Coconut paste / Coconut oil / Coconut milk (can use any that you prefer)
- Cocoa powder
- 1tsp Cinnamon
- 1tsp Vanilla Extract or Paste
- 2tsp Organic Rice Malt
- Pinch of salt
Add various amounts of these until you have your preferred consistency. Leave in the fridge to set (make it runnier if you would like it to be more of a Nutella consistency) and DONE! Though if you don’t want to wait for it to set, you can of course, eat it straight away. You can also add anything you want to it, like nuts, dried fruit etc.
I hope you love this recipe, even if you’re not vegan, gluten free or healthy!
