My Dreams & Nightmares / 21

Hi all and welcome back to another dreams post! I really love doing these and I really hope you enjoy reading them! I just find dreams so interesting! I don’t particular believe in the meanings but it is really fascinating to research and find out.

  • My fiance and I had to travel to a rural/country location 4 1/2 hours away – I don’t even know why. We were also traveling separately which was strange and a waste of petrol – Josh was going up on a Friday and I was going up on the Saturday. I recall seeing an old friend in this particular town. At one point I was walking around a strange building with my Mum, not sure why she was there either, or how she got there.

Fiance: “To see your fiance in your dream symbolises your waking relationship with him or her. Often dreams focus on suppressed feelings that you have yet to express to your fiance.”

Rural/Country: “To dream of the countryside suggests that you are seeking a simpler way of life. You need to take some time for yourself to relax and free your mind. Alternatively, it indicates a sense of freedom and/or openness that is lacking in your daily life.”

Travel: “To dream that you are traveling represents the path toward your life goals. It also parallels your daily routine and how you are progressing along. Alternatively, traveling signifies a desire to escape from your daily burdens. You are looking for a change in scenery, where no one has any expectations of you. Perhaps it is time to make a fresh start.”

Drive: “To dream that you are driving a vehicle signifies your lifes journey and your path in life. The dream is telling of how you are moving and navigating through life. To dream that you are driving fast suggests that you need to slow down and think through your choices. You are so focused on your goals that you are leaving behind the people around you.”

Separate: “To dream of separation suggests that you are experiencing some separation anxiety. You are afraid of feeling unneeded or abandoned. Alternatively, the dream means that you need to look at an issue more objectively. You need to pull yourself away from a situation and look at it from afar.”

Friday: “To dream that it is Friday represents an end to some difficult tasks. Things are looking up for you. TGIF as the saying goes. In particular, to dream of your significant other on a Friday indicates that this is a meaningful day between the two of you. This may be the day you met or perhaps the day you two always went out. Whatever the significance, there is something personal between this particular day and which only you can correlate.”

Saturday: “To dream about Saturday represents opportunity. It is also a sign that whatever you are doing or deciding on is going to be to your advantage.”

Strange/Unknown Location: “To see an unknown place in your dream represents change in your life. Consider how you feel about the surrounding. If you are afraid or lost, then it indicates that you are not ready for the change.”

Building: “To see a building in your dream represents the self and the body. How high you are in the building indicates a rising level of understanding, awareness or success. If you are in the lower levels of the building, then it refers to more primal attitudes and/or sexuality.”

Mum: “To see your mother in your dream represents the nurturing aspect of your own character. Mothers offer shelter, comfort, life, guidance and protection. Some people may have problems freeing themselves from their mothers and are thus seeking their own individuality and development. To dream that you are having a conversation with your mother denotes a matter that has preoccupied your mind and you are not sure how to deal with it in your waking life. It indicates unresolved problems that need to be worked out with your mother.”

  • I was at a club/bar, there was a huge party happening and it was packed. I recall seeing my ex there. I was there with my Fiance and other friends. The next part of the dream was set up like Fortnight/Call of Duty 4 (I don’t play Fortnight but I play Call of Duty). Josh and I were running around to try and not get shot/killed so we decided to block ourselves in a room. We also made up a bed in there.Club: “To dream that you are in a night club or dance club represents the social aspects of your life and your sense of belonging. The dream could be a commentary on your lifestyle. Perhaps you need to settle down a little.” (I haven’t been clubbing in years and I feel pretty settled in life.)
“To dream that you are at a public bar signifies your desire to escape from the stresses of your daily life and retreat into a light-hearted environment where pleasure abounds. Alternitively, you are seeking acceptance in some aspect of your daily life. The dream may also be a pun on “barred” from some place or something. You are feeling excluded or held back by circumstances beyond your control.”

Party: “To dream that you are at a party suggests that you need to get out more and enjoy yourself.”

Ex-boyfriend: “To dream about your ex-boyfriend suggests that something or someone in your current life is bringing out similar feelings you felt during that relationship with your ex. The dream may be a way of alerting you to similar behavioral patterns in your current relationship. What you learn from that previous relationship may need to be applied to the present oneso that you do not repeat the same mistakes.”

Video Game: “To dream that your real life has turned into a video game implies that you are lacking any ambition and drive. You don’t have any direction in life and what you want to do. Alternatively, the dream may mean that you need to always be on the alert.”

Running: “To dream that you are running away from someone indicates an issue that you are trying to avoid. You are not taking or accepting responsibility for your actions. In particular, if you are running from an attacker or any danger, then it suggests that you are not facing and confronting your fears. To dream that you are running with someone signifies cooperation.”

Bed: “To dream that you are searching for a bed suggests that you are having difficulties acknowledging you intimate self. You may be feeling inhibited in expressing your sexuality. Alternatively, it may mean that you are looking for domestic security and happiness. Or you just need more sleep.”

  • I was looking after a Samoyed. I came into work and was introducing him to everyone.

Dog: “To see a dog in your dream symbolises intuition, loyalty, generosity, protection, and fidelity. The dream suggests that your strong values and good intentions will enable you to go forward in the world and bring you success. The dream dog may also represent someone in your life who exibits these qualities. Alternatively, to see a dog in your dream indicates a skill that you may have ignored or forgotten.”

Work: “To dream that you are at work indicates that you are experiencing some anxiety about a current project or task. The dream may also be telling you that you need to ‘get back to work’. Perhaps you have been slacking off and need to pick up the pace. Stop procrastinating. Alternatively, the dream reflects your success.”

  • I was at a really strange place/unknown location. It was like a giant bathroom – I was showering in clothes.

Bathroom: “To dream that you are in a bathroom relates to your instictual urges. You may be experiencing some burdens/feelings and need to ‘relieve yourself’. Alternatively, a bathroom symbolises purification and self-renewal. You need to cleanse yourself, both emotionally and psychologically.

Shower: “To dream that you are showering with your clothes on means that even though you may change your outer appearances, it does not change who you are on the inside. Alternatively, your dream indicates that you are unwilling to let your guard down. You are still keeping up a protective barrier between you and others.”

  • I was walking along a street with shops along it near the city – I was with my Fiance, Mum & Dad.

Road: “To see a road in your dream refers to your sense of direction and how you are pursuing your goals. If the road is smooth and bordered by trees or flowers, then it denotes a steady progress and steady climb up the social ladder. If the road is straight and narrow, then it means that your path to success is going as planned. To see an unknown road in your dream represents a path that has not yet been ventured. You are setting a new precedence for something.”
“To see or be in a grocery or convinience store in your dream suggests that you are emotionally and mentally strained. Alternatively, the dream means that you are brainstorming for some new ideas or looking at the various choices out there for you. The dream may be a pun on something that is in ‘store’ for you. To dream that you are shopping symbolises your needs and desires. It also represents opportunities and options that you come across in life. Consider what you are shopping for and what needs you are trying to fulfill.”

City: “To see a city in your dream signifies your social environment and sense of community. To dream that you are in a deserted city indicates that you feel rejected by those around you.”

Parents: “To see your parents in your dream symbolise both power, shelter, and love. You may be expressing your concerns and worries about your own parents. Alternatively, it represents the merging of the female and male aspects of your character.”

In this group of dreams there are quite a few different things that pop up, though a consistent one is Fiance – probably because I’m with him all the time and that I sleep right next to him!

This is so cool and interesting to read! I really want to start to write down all my dreams now during a few weeks period or something and then go back and try to analyse them, it would be so cool to see if anything comes up that I could relate to what’s going on in my life!

      Thank you!
You definitely should! I always just use notes on my phone to write them down as I don’t always have a pen and paper handy, and I don’t always remember them as soon as I wake up.
I would love to read someone else’s!
