Skincare Haul – June 2019

Wow, I haven’t done anything like this in quite a while! I feel like I’ve been neglecting beauty quite a bit on my blog. Not really for any particular reason, other than I haven’t been in the mood to cover anything to do with make-up, skincare or hair care. I think my next beauty blog post will be a hair care one, so keep your eyes out for that!

So recently I went to Priceline. If you don’t know that is, it’s basically a ‘drug store’ as most call it in the UK or US. Priceline sell make-up, skincare, hair care, fragrances, vitamins and other beauty items, some of them are also pharmacies.

Today I thought I would go through some of the things I purchased at Priceline – these that I bought are pretty much staple products for me.

Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes

I use these basically everyday when I am removing my make-up. These wipes help to wipe off the majority of my make-up, and then I use a cleaner/make-up remover to remove the rest, to leave my face feeling and looking clean. I find that just using a cream by itself doesn’t remove eye make-up that well, so I really like using two types of removers. These wipes are gentle on sensitive skin and a packet of 25 last me about a month which is pretty good.

Palmers Claming Creamy Cleaner/Make Up Remover

Palmer's Skin Nourishing Calming Cream Cleanser 150 g

This is a pretty old favourite for me, I have been using it for quite a few years now. I have probably mentioned it on my blog previously. I find that this cleanser removes make-up so well! I needed a new bottle so I picked one up in this haul! I don’t think you really need to use wipes with this cream, but I just like to, to get my face really clean. I am quite prone to acne, so keeping a clean face for me is really important. I would highly recommend this product, it is also very inexpensive!

Simple Exfoliating Facial Wipes

This is something I have only recently discovered and started using. My fiance asked me if I needed anything from Priceline and I told him some ‘Simple Cleansing Wipes’ would be great. And he came home with these instead, he obviously picked up the wrong ones. Men, am I right… but in this case it was a good mistake, as it helped me to discover a new product that I like! I use these before applying my make-up in the morning. They cleanse and gently exfoliate the face. These last me about a month too.

Simple Kind to Skin Light Moisturiser

You can tell I like the brand ‘Simple’, can’t you? This is another product I have been using for years, and is another one of my staples. I have sensitive skin, so Simple is a really good brand for me. I love this moisturiser as it is light, as it is described, and doesn’t feel cakey on the skin. It feels nice a fresh. I apply in the mornings before decorating my face with make-up.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

Shock! This is a product that I have just purchased that I have NEVER used before! Totally jumping out of my comfort zone here. I have seen a few YouTubers use this product, or similar, and they are apparently meant to work well for cleaning the face and removing make-up, including eye make-up and lips. I was thinking of using this product like a toner. I think I am going to use it after removing my make-up with cleanser, in stead of always using a wipe. Nothing like changing it up a little! Let’s see how I go with it.

Lady Jane Flexi-Glide Detangling Brush

Ok so this one isn’t exactly skincare, but I purchased it in this haul. I’ve been meaning to buy a hairbrush for work forever! I finally remembered to have a look for one. I was just after something small that I could put in my drawer at work. I go for walks at work to break up my desk sitting time, and on days I have my hair down, it gets a bit frizzy and knotty so this is going to be a lifesaver. Or a hair saver. Whatever.

And that is all for this haul! I am not much of a big spender, but Priceline is usually my weakness. I had a gift card to use from my Birthday which really helped with the cost of this haul. Gift cards for here are the best!

Thanks for reading, let me know what your favourite skincare products are!

Great list, I use like 90% of the products on here haha! I love Simple, I feel like you really can’t go wrong with it honestly! I loooooove the micellar water for taking off my makeup, I think it just does the most perfect job!
