Skin Care Haul – Priceline 50% Off!

The other week, Priceline (drug store) had a whopping 50% off all skin care! I quickly jumped on this and headed in store the day the sale was announced – thankfully I had some time after work to drop in and throw my cash away. This sale lasted for 4 days which is longer than usual – normally they only last two days!

I bought 8 items, which cost me a total of AU$78.42! Let me show you what I picked up!

Sukin Hydrating Mist Toner

Was $10.99 I bought for $5.49

Sukin Hydrating Mist Toner 125 mL

I’ve never tried this product, so it is all new to me. I thought this might help with my make-up being less dry. I find that most of the time when I put foundation on, it seems to dry up straight away. My skin doesn’t seem dry either – I moisturise everyday so I am really stumped as to why it is doing this. I really hope this helps under/over make-up!

“Combines chamomile and rosewater to help soothe, tone and cool tired skin. Sukin’s hydrating mist toner does not contain sulphates, animal derivatives, harsh detergents, petro-chemicals, artificial colours, synthetic fragrances, triethanolamine, mineral oils or parabens. This skin hydrating mist provides relief on hot days, long flights or long days in an air-conditioned environment.”

Nivea Urban Skin Good Night Detox Mask

Was $12.99 I bought for $7.79

Nivea Urban Skin Good Night Detox Mask 50 mL

This is another type of product that I have never used before. I am interested to see what it does! I am really hoping it will help moisturise my skin and decrease acne!

“Helps skin to detox during the night for visibly refreshed, radiant and healthy looking skin in the morning. Helps to regenerate skin and de-stress it from the environmental stressors, like sun and pollution during the night. Visibly reduces signs of fatigue and smooths skin, while providing a relaxed skin feel with an indulging formula and scent.”

Palmer’s Skin Nourishing Calming Cream Cleanser

Was $9.99 I bought for $4.99

Palmer's Skin Nourishing Calming Cream Cleanser 150 g

I have been using this product for a few years now, it is one of my favourites and so cheap and affordable too! It also smells great, like cocoa. This cream works amazingly at washing make-up off – though if you have a lot of product on your eyes it would be a good eye-dea to use a product specifically for eye/lip make-up as well!

“This light foaming cream formula gently removes impurities, oil and make-up. Natural cocoa butter, and abundant source of nutrients, helps skin to maintain it’s own moisturse balance. Safe for use for removal of eye make-up”

Dermaveen Eczema Cream

Was $10.99 I bought for $5.49

Dermaveen Eczema Cream 100 mL

This one isn’t a very glamorous product but is something that I hope will help me. I’ve had terrible trouble with the skin on the tops of my hands/knuckles being really dry all the time. So dry to the point the skin cracks and bleeds and it really sore, red and itchy. I have no idea what causes this, but I have had it on and off for about 15 years or so. I am hoping this product will help me out!

“Dry, itchy or sensitive skin welcomes the natural cleansing, soothing and moisturising power of colloidal oatmeal found in Dermaveen. Dermaveen Soap Free washes, showers and bath treatments, hair and scalp care and moisturises are ideal for the relief of dry, itchy or sensitive skin.”

Neutrogena Sensitive Skin Moisturiser

Was $13.99 I bought for $8.39

Neutrogena® Sensitive Skin Moisturiser 118 mL

I usually use the Simple brand moisturiser, but I was after something a bit thicker to go underneith make-up to help hold it together better. I haven’t used a different moisturiser in quite a while, I am hoping this one is good!

“Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture for Sensitive Skin is clinically proven to provide gentle yet effective moisturisation for softer, smoother skin. Lightweight, non-greasy water-based lotion effectively eliminates dryness without leaving skin greasy or shiny.”

Lanolips 101 Ointment Multi-purpose Balm

Was $18.99 I bought for $13.29

Lanolips Lanolips 101 Ointment Multi Purpose Balm 15 g

Another issue that I have is my lips go dry REALLY quickly. I have no idea why but it is really frustrating and uncomfortable. I drink a lot of water too to hydrate so it doesn’t really make sense. I just have shit skin really ha. I wanted to try a different balm, something I haven’t used before that might help. I thought I would treat myself to this product – it is multipurpose not just for lips! I use it at night at the moment and it is quite good – it’s a thick ointment which is a good thing so it lasts longer. I’m not sure if I would purchase again as it seems to be running out quite quick for the price, but I’m glad I’ve tried it.

“Use for extremely dry lips, skin patches, cuticles and much more. A super dense balm that seals in moisture. Multi-award winning, hard-working & powerful multi-tasker.”

Nip+Fab Clycolic Scrub Fix

Was $21.99 I bought for $13.19

Nip+fab Glycolic Scrub Fix 75 mL

I have never used a Nip+Fab product before, so I was super excited and keen to use this. I haven’t changed scrubs in quite a while, and I was after something that was a bit more exfoliating than what I’ve been using. And wow, this lives up to it’s expectations! Once using and washing off, it leaves your skin feeling SO smooth and fresh! Like a blank canvas. I am really hoping it helps with my acne too! The smell of it also reminds me of ‘fruit cup’ flavoured cordial, which I used to drink when I was younger!

“3-in-1 micro exfoliant is packed with 3% glycolic avid and salicylic acids to refine, brighten and renew. This scrub works deep into pores to cleanse, polish and reduce blemishes from the first use. With a fruity grapefruit scent, it energises and awakens the skin.”

Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Serum

Was $32.99 I bought for $19.79

Nip+fab Glycolic Fix Serum 30 mL

I thought I would try is oil-based serum out, alongside the scrub. I recently bought a rose quartz roller, so I wanted something that I could massage into my skin. I have just started doing this and it feels so cooling and refreshing – it will be great for summer! I am also hoping this oil helps with my acne.

“An innovative overnight serum with 4% glycolic acid to retexture the skins appearance. This highly effective formula contains powerful glycolic acid to smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while improving skin texture. Designed with pore refining ingredient Pore Away, the size of pores are visibly reduced for a more refined, even looking complex.”

That is all I have for you today – I thought it was a pretty successful haul! I hope you enjoyed going through all the products I purchased. What are your favourite skin care products that you swear by? Let me know in the comments!
