I have also read The Party by this author and I really, really enjoyed it. So when I spotted this one at the shops, I was very keen to purchase and read.

“Frances Metcalfe is struggling to stay afloat. A stay-at-home mom whose troubled son is her full-time job, she thought that the day he got accepted into the elite Forrester Academy would be the day she started living her life. Overweight, insecure, and lonely, she is desperate to fit into Forrester’s world, but after a disturbing incident at the school leads the other children and their families to ostracize the Metcalfes, she feels more alone than ever before–until she meets Kate Randolph. Kate is everything Frances is not: beautiful, wealthy, powerful, and confident. And for some reason, she’s not interested in being friends with any of the other Forrester moms—only Frances. As the two bond over their disdain of the Forrester snobs and the fierce love they have for their sons, a startling secret threatens to tear them apart.”

Frances son, Marcus, and Kate’s son, Charles, become the best of friends. Marcus suffers from a form of Aspergers, and him hanging out with Charles helps him so much. Frances soon realises though that this is the worst thing she could have let Marcus do.

Frances and Kate both have secrets.. what are they? And is Kate really who she says she is..? You’ll find out if you have a read of this book.

I loved this one, from the start to the end. It was written well and easy to read. And what doesn’t make sense, comes together and makes sense in the end. I loved the secrets in this one, and the mysterious people. Everyone so very different. Thoughout the book, you read it from three different characters perspectives. You learn more about each character as you go. You find out who knows the secrets and is hiding them, and people that have them themselves.

I would highly recommend this to anyone who is into thriller, mystery, fiction, suspense and adult.

About the Author
“Robyn Harding is the author of several books and has written and executive produced an independent film. She lives in Vancouver, BC with her husband and two children.”

I rate this one a 9/10! I just love buying books that are actually awesome!

Thanks for reading my review!
