This could already be on the internet, but I made up this recipe quite a while ago, while being on the FODMAP diet. If you don’t know what this type of diet is, you can look it up here.
This is great when you can’t have gluten, or dairy, and you are craving pizza. It is also fantastic if you don’t want to leave the house and already have these ingredients! If I were you, I’d try to purchase them earlier in the day. This recipe is so easy and quick to make! You can make it gluten free, dairy free, lactose free, garlic/onion free and even vegan, it’s totally up to you.
Personally, I would love to be vegan. In my current health state I feel it wouldn’t work well as I am needing protein and iron. To me I think being vegan would be a lot more difficult, I eat with family a lot and I wouldn’t want to put them out. It can also be a pain to eat out as many cafes and restaurants don’t have vegan options, around my area anyway. Whenever I see a vegan meal on the menu, I’ll go for it! I am always up for trying new things.
So for my pizza recipe you’ll need:
- Gluten free pizza bases (I usually cook two pizzas)
- Leggos FODMAP pasta sauce (yes you can use this on pizza)
- Lactose free cheese/vegan cheese like Bio Cheese
- Handful of shredded ham
- Handful of spinach to make it look healthier
- 1 egg cracked on top
You can mix up the recipe however you like, and add or subtract any ingredients. Obviously to make it vegan you’d remove the ham and egg, but you can replace this with what you fancy. The sauce also can be changed to normal pizza sauce or tomato paste.
I then chuck all the ingredients on top how I like, and then pop the pizzas in the oven for about 10 minutes on 180 degrees fan force (this can vary due to oven)
I hope you like this recipe, and I hope it tastes delicious for you! Definitely not the healthiest recipe, but great when you have dietary requirements and food intolerance’s, and craving pizza!
