Book Review – Lies Lies Lies

Happy December! Christmas is creeping up very soon. Where has this year gone!? The weirdest and craziest year ever. Today, I have another book review for you. I love a book full of drama, lies and secrets – so I couldn’t wait to get into this one! Today’s book I’ll be reviewing is..

Lie Lies Lies by Adele Parks

Daisy and Simon’s marriage isn’t what it seems…

After years together, the arrival of longed-for daughter Millie sealed everything in place. They’re a happy little family of three.

So what if Simon drinks a bit too much sometimes–Daisy’s used to it. She knows he’s just letting off steam. Until one night at a party things spiral horribly out of control. And their happy little family of three will never be the same again.

In Lies, Lies, Lies, #1 Sunday Times bestselling author Adele Parks explores the darkest corners of a relationship in free fall in a mesmerizing tale of marriage and secrets.”

Daisy and Simon tried for 10 years to have a baby, then finally Daisy found out she was expecting. 6 years later, Millie is now 6. Daisy is a school teacher and Simon does design work. A pretty happy little family. Who knew there would be big secrets hidden under the surface.

One night they go to a party. Daisy knows that Simon has a bit of a drinking problem. Simon ends up causing a bit of a scene, so they end up leaving. On the way driving home, they were both a little distracted. Daisy was trying to drive while Simon was drunk and being irritating. Something then happens that changes everything.

This book was written really well, and it was easy to follow and understand – which I LOVE in a book. Nothing worse than reading a book that doesn’t really make sense to you. Reading the chapters from Simon’s point of view when he was drunk, literally made me feel like I was in a drunk persons head, it was great.

I really enjoyed reading this one! I didn’t mind the ending either. I have another book by this author also currently in my stash, so I am looking forward to reading that one as well.

The genre of this one is thriller, fiction, mystery, adult and suspense.
